EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal from distressing or overwhelming experiences. Using gentle bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping), EMDR supports the nervous system in reprocessing “stuck” memories so they feel less intense and no longer drive anxiety or emotional reactions. Sessions move at your pace, with a strong focus on safety, choice, and nervous-system regulation.

Hi, I’m Coco (she/her), a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor and professional art therapist fluent in English and Mandarin. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to turn inward and explore who we truly are, including our values, needs, and the parts of ourselves that often go unseen.

I often support highly sensitive, creative, or anxious individuals who are used to caring for others and keeping things together, including youth and women navigating trauma, chronic stress, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and big emotions.

My work with youth is neurodivergent-affirming and strengths-based, supporting children and teens to better understand their emotions, nervous systems, and ways of experiencing the world.

Clients often share that my approachable, down-to-earth style and gentle guidance help them feel more centered, understood, and supported as they develop emotional awareness, self-trust, and a deeper sense of safety within themselves. Together, we focus on creating meaningful and sustainable change by building self-awareness, agency, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges.

As a Taiwanese woman who came to Canada in my teens and grew up as the eldest daughter, I developed a deep understanding of family dynamics, responsibility, and emotional awareness. My own healing journey deepened in my late twenties during a yoga teacher training in India, where a powerful emotional release helped me recognize long-held trauma responses and patterns of self-rejection. This experience continues to inform my grounded, patient, and trauma-informed approach and marked the beginning of the repair of important relationships in my life.

I integrate counselling, art therapy, mindfulness, and body awareness in a way that aligns mind, body, and spirit, while honouring each person’s culture, background, and perspective. I support folks in noticing and understanding their inner experiences, with an emphasis on choice, collaboration, and intentional action. Sessions may include conversation, creative expression, or reflective practices, guided by your comfort and readiness.
